Container terminal Saint-Petersburg doubles funding for its development program
From January to September 2016 JSC “Container terminal Saint-Petersburg” spent 976,2 million rubles on its development program. This was twice as much as in the same period last year.
829,6 million rubles were spent on purchase of handling equipment, upgrading of handling gear and development of IT infrastructure.
In the period under consideration the company signed agreements for the supply of three KONECRANES diesel-electric hybrid RTG cranes with the capacity of 40 tons. The cranes are fitted with GPS-based autosteering module with autostop function, fiber-optic network and ergonomic, comfortable cabin.
Besides, the Terminal signed agreements for the supply of two Kalmar’s new-generation reach stackers (DRG series, lifting capacity 45 tons) and six 65t Kalmar tractors with Seacom semitrailers.
To ensure safer operations and meet the new SOLAS container weighing requirements, CTSP was equipped with BCA-P scales for container gross mass verification and reporting to the carrier (VGM certificate).
145,8 million rubles were spent on development of the port infrastructure, maintenance and renovation projects, including improvement of protection relays system of the central electric substation.
In order to provide better client service and improve safety of terminal operations the company invested 0,8 million rubles in expansion of the existing video surveillance system.
