In January-June 2017 JSC “Container terminal Saint-Petersburg” handled 319,000 TEUs (10,7% year over year increase).
Imports increased by 9,5% year on year to 142,700 TEUs, including 35,700 TEUs of reefer containers. Exports grew by 11,7% year over year to 176,300 TEUs. The share of laden exports in the period under consideration amounted to 73,6%.
Export and import shares in total terminal’s throughput were 55% and 45%, respectively.
During 6 months of 2017 CTSP handled 271 vessel with the average call size of 1,200 TEUs. 30% of cargoes were removed by rail.
In January-June 2017 Container terminal Saint-Petersburg spent over 5,1 million rubles on its social and environmental initiatives.
Of that amount, RUB 4 million were spent on the social program, which includes health services, sanatorium treatment, sports and leisure (RUB 2,7 million) and emergency payments, baby bonuses, retirement bonuses, bonuses to employees celebrating anniversaries (RUB 1,3 million).
In the first half of 2017 Container terminal Saint-Petersburg invested RUB 367,7 million in modernization of port infrastructure (17,4% increase YOY).
RUB 228,5 million were spent on new machinery and equipment. This included two Kalmar shuttle carriers and four Toyota forklifts. Besides, the company signed agreements for the supply of a reachstacker (Kalmar), five tractors (Kalmar) with semitrailers (Seacom), two Kalmar’s and two Toyota’s forklifts.
