From the beginning of 2018, Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg CJSC allocated RUB 10.7 million (EUR 143,000) under its social and environmental programmes.
The bulk of the amount, RUB 7.4 million (EUR 98,930), was spent for implementation of the Company’s social programme targeted at improvement of social and material position of the terminal employees. The programme covers compensations for medical services, health resort treatment, sports and additional payments to certain categories of employees.
As part of the company’s social programme comprising a package of measures on improvement of working conditions, upgrading of employees’ qualification, compensation for medical services and sport as well as other expenses, the company allocated more than EUR 133,300, up 25% year-on-year.
In 2018, Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg CJSC handled 722,000 TEUs, 12% more than in 2017.
In the reporting period, exports totaled 373,600 TEUs, +5% versus the result of 2017. Imports grew by 21% to 348,500 TEUs.
In May, the terminal handed 73,000 TEUs, which is a record high monthly result of CTSP.
In 2018, the number of calls totaled 540 with average shipload of 1,337 TEUs (up 27% versus 1,087 TEUs in 2017). Container shipments by railway transport accounted for 26% of the terminal’s total cargo throughput.
