In the first half of 2017 Container terminal Saint-Petersburg invested RUB 367,7 million in modernization of port infrastructure (17,4% increase YOY).
RUB 228,5 million were spent on new machinery and equipment. This included two Kalmar shuttle carriers and four Toyota forklifts. Besides, the company signed agreements for the supply of a reachstacker (Kalmar), five tractors (Kalmar) with semitrailers (Seacom), two Kalmar’s and two Toyota’s forklifts.
In the first nine months of 2017 JSC “Container terminal Saint-Petersburg” invested RUB 675 million to upgrade its port facilities.
More than half of the expenditures (RUB 388,8 million) was spent on new equipment, tools and accessories including two Toyota forklift trucks with a lift capacity of 2,5 tons and a 45-ton Kalmar reach stacker. One more contract was signed for the supply of two rubber tyred gantry cranes (Konecranes).
JSC “Container terminal Saint-Petersburg” recorded a 14,1% year-over-year increase with 476,500 TEUs handled from January through September 2017.
Import container traffic totaled 214,300 TEUs (12,1% more than in the same period of the previous year) including 50,800 TEUs of full reefer containers.
Export traffic increased by 15,8% yoy to 262,200 TEUs. The shares of full and empty export in terminal’s total volume in the period under consideration were 41,4% (13,5% yoy increase) and 13,6% (23,6% increase), respectively.
